Syria Bracing for U.S. Bombs ; Congress Does Nothing

Force Congress To Act
Under the Constitution, Congress is responsible for declaring war — yet routinely it leaves the decision to the President. The terrible and widespread killing in Syria will become even more terrible and more widespread if the U.S. military (or a coalition of allies) launches an attack.

  1. This is totally fucked up. Boehner and Reid could call Congress back to session instead of leaving this up to Emperor Obama. I’ve been calling for Obama’s impeachment, but if Boehner and Reed fail to compel a vote, then they too should be impeached: all three of them!

“The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct peculiar to officials, such as perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty….”

How are Reid and Boehner not guilty of dereliction of duty by letting the US plunge toward war and not allowing Congress to debate and vote on this extremely dangerous gambit?
